At John Oates we have a range of models designed with different configurations. Once you have decided on the model that best suits your needs you can tailor your new bespoke horsebox to make it your own.
A key consideration when configuring your new horsebox is the payload you wish to carry. Our 3.5t horseboxes will provide a payload around the 1.1t mark. This final payload will depend on the level of fit out and equipment you choose. Should you require an greater payload and don’t want to compromise what you want to carry you may want to consider a chassis with a greater Gross Vehicle Weight eg. 3.9t, 4.5t, 5.0t or 7.5t+
We have a comprehensive list of options you can choose to enhance your bespoke horsebox. Bonded windows, type of stall and breast bar, tack lockers, roof vents, fans, pads, lighting, kitchen, living and washrooms, tack lockers and finishing touches including paintwork and decals can be defined to personalise your horsebox.

Once your horsebox design is decided we'll prepare a detailed specification for you to approve. Our horseboxes are completely fabricated in house and the build can take up to 12 weeks to complete. Please contact us for up to date waiting times that can vary depending on demand.
The development team at John Oates will keep you fully advised of the progress of your bespoke horsebox build and you will be welcome to visit the workshop at key points throughout the build to view the quality of the workmanship and materials used in the creation of your new horsebox.
When your box is complete and has been fully inspected and signed off you will be invited to collect your beautiful new horsebox from our business where we will personally carry out the handover. It's all part of the end to end service we provide at John Oates.
